We've been staying busy across the Homer, Lula, and Jefferson area - running new electrical service, installing panels, and getting EV chargers set up the right way. These are the kinds of jobs that look straightforward from the outside but require a lot of groundwork - literally - before the finished product ever shows up on a wall.
On the new construction side, that means trenching. We use our Intelli-Trench machine to cut clean, deep runs through Georgia red clay so conduit can be laid properly and buried at the right depth. It's not glamorous work, but doing it right matters. Underground runs that are too shallow or improperly protected are a liability waiting to happen.
Once the underground work is done, we move on to the service equipment. We install Square D by Schneider Electric meter mains - solid, utility-approved gear that's built to last. The emergency disconnect labeling, the meter base, the conduit risers - everything gets done to code with no shortcuts. On the EV charger side, that means a dedicated circuit with the right breaker size feeding a proper outlet or hardwired charger, not a jury-rigged workaround off an overloaded panel.
Speaking of panels - some of these homes had existing panels that needed new circuits added to support the EV charger load. That's where panel upgrade work comes in. Adding a 40-amp CFCI breaker to an Eaton panel, routing wire cleanly, and terminating it at a flush-mounted outlet is a clean, safe solution that gives you years of reliable charging at home without stressing your electrical system.
Whether you're on a few acres outside Jefferson or have a barn at a property near Lula, getting dependable power run to where you need it is something we do every day across this part of Georgia. New service, panel work, EV chargers - we handle it all from the trench to the trim-out.
